Trumpland Resources

Trumpland Resources

It's hard to know how we got here, or where to begin to do something constructive about this. I am just going to add random links to this page and a brief commentary on each as I find them.

Indivisible Guide: Start here if you don't know what to do next. The Indivisible Guide is written by people who have been in the business of seeing how stuff gets done in DC. In a nutshell, this is how the Tea Party made progress, like it or not. Do you want to make change? This is how.

Indivisible Guide Audio: This is the audio file from the podcast Best of the Left so you can just download this and listen at your leisure.

US Senate Phone Numbers: 202-225-3121 or 202-224-3121. Call either one and ask for your senator(s) and tell them what you think. Call every day!

What Effective Protest Could Look Like on the Atlantic site by David Frum. Read this with the Indivisible Guide. This might be the most important read for those of us trying to make real change, rather than just venting outrage.

What So Many People Don't Get About the US Working Class by Joan C Williams, Harvard Business Review: How did we get here? What's the message moving forward? How can we listen or hear what's needed to make effective change?

A Clarifying Moment in American History by Eliot C Cohen in Atlantic. Another conservative writer I might not ordinarily read.

Michael Moore at Women’s March. The number to call your Senator is 202-225-3121. Moore's message is practical and actionable, which is what is needed.

A Republican Intellectual Explains Why The Republican Party is Going to Die written over the summer before the election and posted to Vox. Interesting historical perspective.

President Trump: How and Why?  video of Jonathan Pie. Quite a rant here with persistent and frequent use of the "F" word so use caution. Really points a finger squarely at lefty elitists who didn't hear what Trump voters needed or wanted. Worth the shock.
